James Haverstock
James Haverstock is the Founder and Managing Partner of Haverstock Advisory UK Strategy
Group. A seasoned British strategist with over 25 years of experience in top-tier management
consulting, James established the firm in London to deliver independent, high-calibre strategic
advice to discerning mid-to-large corporates and institutional clients.
Prior to founding Haverstock Advisory UK Strategy Group, James spent 18 years at
McKinsey & Company, where he rose to Partner level in the London office. He led complex strategy
projects across financial services, industrials, and consumer sectors, advising FTSE 100 boards on
corporate portfolio optimisation, growth strategies, and large-scale transformations. Earlier in his
career, he held senior roles at Bain & Company in London, focusing on private equity due diligence
and performance improvement.
James holds an MA (First Class) in Economics from the University of Cambridge and an MBA
from INSEAD. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA) and sits on advisory boards for
several UK-based growth companies. Known for his rigorous analytical approach, commercial acumen,
and pragmatic implementation focus, James remains actively involved as senior sponsor on every
client engagement.
